Continue reading →This is the best thing I’ve seen in ages. Beautiful composition, I keep watching it over and over. A time lapse compilation of the ongoing protests in Madison, Wisconsin. Edit to add: Over at Balloon Juice, garage mahal from Wisconsin gave me a link to this set of panoramic 360-degree pictures from inside the Capitol building and from the rallies. View them in high-def and full screen if you can. They are extraordinary.

Last night, Rachel Maddow did a thorough fact-check on Barbour’s twisted version of history. Then she turned to Eugene Robinson, who was not at all happy with the attempt to lie about what happened between blacks and whites in the South, and with the Republican Party’s … Continue reading →

The Obama campaign has released a statement, which says in part: “Senators Obama and Biden have made clear their commitment to fighting for equal rights for all Americans whether it’s by granting LGBT Americans all the civil rights and benefits available to heterosexual couples, or repealing ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” said a statement issued by campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt. “Senator Obama has already announced that the Obama-Biden ticket opposes Proposition 8 and … Continue reading →
