We have a nominee, at last. His speech last night was smart and thoughtful as always. Now let’s get down to work.

And how much do I love that he took his speech to the convention center where the Republicans will hold their convention? I love it a lot. He’s run a formidable campaign. It’s a pleasure watching them maneuver.

Edit to add: Boy, McCain should have stayed off the air last night. His speech was terrible and his crowd was tiny, but it looked even worse than it was when followed by Obama, who is one of the most gifted speakers of our time.
