Thanksgiving Surprise
The Macy's parade is a staple on Thanksgiving, but this year's surprise made me very happy.

Change.gov
Hurry on over to the new web site for Obama's transition team, if you haven't yet. For one thing, it's very nice to look at this:

The site's informative too, with pages on the issues Obama plans to tackle first, a tab for sending in your own thoughts on issues and your stories from the campaign, and also a tab for job applications for the new administration. It feels very good having a President-elect who knows the importance of communication.

Campaign for Change - Colorado
We're looking forward to having our weekends back to normal, trying to remember the projects we had planned when we decided two months ago to give our free time to the Obama campaign instead. By now, the little office that has been headquarters for the campaign in this part of Colorado has probably been emptied out. It was a good little office, though.

This morning we heard a news report about Obama's transition team, and how they are organized into different teams and functions, and we smiled at each other. Yeah, that's the campaign we saw - efficient, organized, disciplined. Very Obama.

And I dreamed I was flying....
And high up above my eyes could clearly see, the Statue of Liberty, sailing away to sea...
Oh, but it's alright, it's alright...

Never Forget
Please vote tomorrow. And remember those who've given everything for the right.
Thank you Tbogg, for the post, and thanks to BOHICA for reminding me of this song.

Obama Opposes California's Prop 8
Anti-marriage forces in California are sending out deceptive mailers which imply that Barack Obama and Joe Biden are in favor of California's Proposition 8. This is simply untrue. The Obama campaign has released a statement, which says in part:
"Senators Obama and Biden have made clear their commitment to fighting for equal rights for all Americans whether it's by granting LGBT Americans all the civil rights and benefits available to heterosexual couples, or repealing 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell," said a statement issued by campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt. "Senator Obama has already announced that the Obama-Biden ticket opposes Proposition 8 and similar discriminatory constitutional amendments that could roll back the civil rights he and Senator Biden strongly believe should be afforded to all Americans."
Support marriage for all our citizens. Vote NO on Proposition 8.
